If you can find the type and mfg you want in a used form that's from someone reputable, do yourself and your wallet a favor and buy it from them... I've done that now with both the axle-backs on my Camaro and have saved myself close to 1,000.00..
You're talking about a part that's exposed to debris, road dirt, dust, etc.. So, you're not really going to keep them 100% spotless unless you rarely drive.
Plenty of people are selling their axlebacks.. So, check the different forums Used parts area before buying new.
(Edit -- wasn't paying attention and just saw the V6 location..)

--- I can't comment on perf.. But, do see if you can pick up your choice used though..
