Whats the best number of revs from which to lunch the car?

For stock cars, I think the consensus is just from idle. Autos by flashing the torque converter (releasing the brake and hitting the gas at same time) and manuals by slipping the clutch and rolling into the gas.

Not sure. Most sixers 'round here are auto.
