Default Great Members, Crappy Car

Well anyone who knows me has heard about my problems I have continuously had with my car. If you don't, let's just say I have had a lot this year. Well the story continues. My car went in for a broken axle 2 weeks after the axle seal was replaced. To make a long story short, there maybe damage to my rear end and GM has denied my claim. My car is not stock and I understand that but none of my modifications have directly effected the drive train yet I have broken every component. I drive my car hard but that is why I bought a Camaro and not a Malibu. I am very frustrated and completely have lost faith in GM and the Camaro. I still can't get a straight answer on why my claim is being denied other than I have rubber in my wheel wells.

As with every disaster there is a silver lining. The great membership we have at this club has helped me out a lot through my issues and a sponsor (Speed Inc.) is also helping me out. A big big thanks goes out to HumanWiki for meeting up with me to sell me stock axles very cheap tonight. Also a big thanks goes out to Bubbles for trying to help me with GM as much as she can. I hope that the rear end is not damaged and the axles can be swapped and problem solved. If not I may have to replace the rear end on my own dime, which given the history of my car I think is unfair. If this problem goes all the way in to the rear I will be forced to seek further action with GM.

More on great members..thought I'd share this PM :
Hugger, I was reading the post on the site about your thread being deleted. I went to your post on camaro5.com. I read that post from start to finish and want to thank you for the way you documented the trouble with your engine. Sorry about the way it happened but your research and comments can help many of us. I have a 2010 RS/SS LS-3 and it's going to xxxxx in a couple of weeks for cam, headers, cold air kit, shifter and dyno tune. I found your post highly informative and helpful. I had not heard of the problems with these engines until reading that post. Definitely making sure it's a 3 bolt cam. I have only been a member here since xxx when I bought my car and haven't been able to make many of the club activities. Hope to make more next year. Thanks again for the informative post.

I think gm is afraid to touch the darkss, they know it's powers.

What dealer do you take it to? I can ask my gm friend (the guy that gave us bow tie pins at the autoshow)if he knows the field tech rep that covers your store.

Priz, I don't think it matters...for them to deny the claim on a performance car because it has rubber in the wheelhouse is beyond stupid.

It is a Camaro, not a Malibu.

My thoughts is you got a lemon. Happens with all makes and models. Personally, I have had zero problems except for back/miss firing once due to needing a computer update.

I'd look into the lemon laws personally or just get some vodka

You're right, you didn't buy a Malibu. Has GM seen their own commercials on the Camaro? They don't drive them like a Malibu either. These are freakin sports cars with 400+ hp for pete's sake.

I agree with BumbleBee, I think you got a lemon and I would see what my options are going that route.

Sorry to hear about your problems.
