Ah yes... I had been seeing that.. and, honestly, the write ups over on Camaro5 became so complicated an interlinked with each other, I just stopped reading it all.. I did see the note about the mfg refusing to sell to us little people though.
I have the IOM interior on an IOM 2SS/RS... The GF has really been on me to finish out the lighting (it really does look like they half did it, or it's burnt out). What's the total bill to finish out the lighting across the dash fully and to make the doors one continuous line, instead of it just stopping short of the seam? --Installed price and just parts total price... I have a later VIN, so I don't think that I have the taps already in my harness.

There are two ways to finish the dash. Sanding down the panel edges, or, the gap method.
In addition to the pipes, you would need three LED's (one for driver side and two for the passenger). We can supply custom colors for $12.50 each, or, the GM parts for a bit more money. Connection harnesses are also available as wire-in or plug-and-play t-harness versions. For the doors, I recall seeing that it's just a bit of panel-sanding to extend the line. We are strictly parts, but, Showstopper could likely handle the installation. Last edited by sjmautoprod; 01-29-2012 at 09:50 AM. |

In the interests of keeping the thread clean, we can take it to PM..
I'd like to see what the total parts cost would be from you for the completion of the ABL in two different options. Option A -- Driver's Side and Passenger's side Dash lighting and then extending both existing door lights. Option B -- Duplicating the Pre-Prod Camaro ABL where the door lighting loops around and back up. (I don't know if I'm too in to this one due to the modding required on the underside of the doors) -- but, just want to see the parts diff to help with the decision. I have an IOM interior lighting, so I'm fine with getting the number of Red lights directly from GM and just get any required harnesses and pipes from you. I think the tuned pipe would be the one I'd get so I don't get that dimming effect in the middle of the passenger side. I'm not sure on getting installed yet.. I may very well just do it myself..

Do you have any pics of completed abl with your pipes and leds?
Also i have blue lights right now but want to change them to orange. Would i have to still buy your door pipes or can i still use the stock and just swap out the leds?

Not yet. There is a post on C5 that compares the previous pipes with ours, though.
Sure, you can just swap LED's. |
