I'm in +1

Sounds awesome. I have wanted to try the non-grocery store version of Connie's for awhile!

trust me cops here are waaaay more flexable than you might think. my windows are tinted and have never gotten a ticket, in fact all my cars have been tinted since i have owned my first. i have been asked by cops (back when car first came out) to pull over so they can check my car out,
last summer when the chicago mustang club got together in a dominicks parking lot with out permission, cops showed up and asked all to leave with no problem,
the CMC decided to take a midnight run down lake shore drive and the cop that kicked them out, escorted them on the drive for 2 reasons, to make sure other cops dont get antsy and to make sure there were no races... that s not bad at all

just speaking for cops here, they are real cool when car clubs get together as long as its peaceful and there is no street racing or drinking alcohol in public..

i have been to dozens of car events, and have never seem them give a ticket, i have seem pull over guys leaving event, drunk or with open liquor bottles or speeding away (high speed!)

also on michigan ave there are always ferraris, lambos, porsche bentleys and most always have limo tint and as long as you obey traffic they leave you alone.. now if your reving and burning tires at every stop then HELLL yeah you will def det hit with tickets..

my uncle (state), cousin (chicago) , and brother (cook county) are all cops in diff area of chicago and they dont really care as long as its all in good fun and nature!

and trust me there is no need for cop patrol at connies..

I am interested in going... but not really interested in a cruise downtown Michigan Ave and Lake Shore Drive. Don't want to risk getting a ticket.
That reminds me Chicago is also big on front plate tickets. Many people get ticketed while parked in parking lots in the city. So be mindful of that everyone.

Generally, Chicago cops have more important things to do. Not like the suburban ones. No offence to any suburban officers.

Agreed cops from the suburbs are more likely to pull you over for tints and no license plate even if driving normally.

connies is located in one of the best areas of chicago (well the edge of it) actually ex mayor daley and his mom own homes about 3 min from there..
and connies always has cops there ( they get free food)
chinatown is 2 blocks from there.
univerisity village (uic) also a skip away (where i live).

im born and raised in this area, chicago is a huge city, but its also the best! yup their are bad areas but thats the price chicago pays for being sooo huge and sooooo great =)
dont worry i will make sure to steer you away from bad areas...

Good Point about the front license plate. I will have mine showing... I will be attending. I just wanted everyone to know Chicago's position on tinting. I think if we are respectful we should be fine.

I would feel better knowing that Chicago's finest (Members) were joining us! (If you are off duty)

Sounds like fun, a cruise in the city would be neat. Put me down, I'll update later how many I'll have with me.
