    Color Changing RS Halo Package by JDP Motorsports

    Just finished the install yesterday! Well worth the price and install. These are the best Ive seen anywhere. The led install in the headlights tried my patience a few times with and the hard to reach T10 torx screws but the video shows everything you need to know and the right tools to use. The T10 extension bit is a must for that last screw. Sooo happy its done and cant wait to show em off this weekend. Tough to get good shots at night.

        Yeah, I like The electronics, and the control panel on SJM's kit (this one ^^^^) better than JDP's, the wireless receiver on JDP's can be trigger by a outside source and you would be driving with the halos in a different color and get a very expensive ticket, seen it happen.

          I am not familiar with SJMs halo product or I probably would have went with them since I have purchased other products from them and have been very happy.
          This is a brand new product that was just distributed about 2 weeks ago. I had preordered in early december and am one of the first few to install according to JDP. This kit is plug and play with no ovens or splitting of the halos involved. You just switch out the existing white LED to a color changing LED.
          You also have an option to drive with the switch in the off position. No power, no accidental red or any other color halos while driving.
          And there is an LED in the interior illuminated with the same color that is shown on the outside so if it changes you will know when it changes if you are driving with the white on.

          Can I ask what the situation was and how you saw this happen with the ticket and what the ticket was for and what triggered the color change?

            About how long did it take you to install?

            2010 Camaro LS. SLP loudmouth Exhaust with custom piping, Custom Benchmark tuning turbo kit 1of1, SS front bumper

              About 4 hours total time from start to finish with everything back together. There was a video included that shows how to do everything and was very helpful as I am not a mechanic but have basic skills.

                  I got my kit from JDP on Monday, but I haven't put the RS lights on the car yet. I'll have mine installed next month, most likely. Looks good!

                    I have not seen it with these halo package from JDP (I should have made that clear on myself) I used to have a LED scaner (knight rider style) on a previous camaro and it had a wireless receiver with a key fob to turn it on and off and select the functions and sometimes I would we driving and the scaner would light up on it's own but I wouldn't know till I got home, and it has happened with some of the ACC light scaners where they get trigger by another keyless entry remote or sometimes a garage door opener, that is why I like the hard wired option better but since it has a LED inside the cabin then it should be OK.

                      Is the center bulb able to change colors?

                          No, doesnt affect the center, just the halos. The original halos will not function as before but there is a white color that is pretty close to original but doesnt match the pw13 DRLs. There is also a dimmer switch to adjust the brightness.
                          At night, in the garage, black car, it looked like a monster ready to attack, the photos dont do it justice.
                          The inside light is great so you know whats going on outside.
                          This was a great and inexpensive add on that I am very happy with and I am not trying to compare to other products, just wanted to share.

                          I am not affiliated with JDP in anyway other than buying their product.

                          I am going to try to make the Hooters cruise, but not definate yet.
