Sounds good, I could use some tips. I pretty much follow the great Miyagi's teaching...."Wax On, Wax Off".

Miyagi never mentioned that his method causes swirl marks. Avoid waxing/wiping in a circular motion.

What is the preference for wax and/or polish that everyone uses?
I notice some real nice shines on some cars yesterday.

I use nothing but Meguiars products and do the polish step before waxing. Also, use the quick detailer Ted uses. Also, I agree with him on getting the orange peel taken out if you are up for spending the cash. Maybe just try the Meguiars steps first to see if your happy before forking out the dough and spend the savings on fuel and/or mods.
