They usually get the best times; they have all day long, with as many back to back runs as they need to get it right. At test and tune, by the time I make a run, get back around to staging, and wait in line, I forget what the hell I did on the last runOriginally posted by TonyNo View PostYeah, it has been said they the people testing for the mags could not launch properly. Several others on C5 are low 14's.

I really want to get the SS to the strip to see what I can do. I am anxious to try out the launch control. They say it doesn't work very well, but I never had one before. And compared to the V I use to have, I would love to see how this car launches on a prepped track. I wish I could have had the chance to get my LT to a track when I had it.

Head to GLD in late october or early november and you'll be able to run your car all day without waiting. I did 30 runs in 3 hours last year.Originally posted by jimmyh View PostThey usually get the best times; they have all day long, with as many back to back runs as they need to get it right. That run is pretty impressive with nothing modded.

Don't worry, we'll surely have a few trips up there this year. Blame Dan for getting a few of us into softball league on the street tire night, otherwise it would be every Tuesday.Originally posted by jimmyh View PostI went there as a kid with my dad. It's where I saw an 80's (maybe 70's?) suburban run a 13. Which was damn fast back then. But haven't been there since long before I started driving. I would like to go sometime.
Group trip maybe?
