Yes it will move in the same fashion as stock. There is actually a strap designed to have the pillar swing open when the air bag goes off. So its all hooked up the same way.Originally posted by TonyNo View PostCan that get out of the way of the airbag in there?
And yes there's airbags back there.
sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

That would be the home of the "side curtain" air bag moduleOriginally posted by Toasty View Postdidnt think the airbag was in the a-pillar, but over top of the window... just the airbag wiring there... dunno?

By modding your car's handling to the point the computer doesn't understand you now have a car that actually handles on the track. This happened at Blackhawk.Originally posted by camarogirl2010 View PostHow does one become a "victim of lateral acceleration deployment?"
Yeah, not in my case.Originally posted by rnikolich9 View Postsigpic

Surprisingly I was so focused on driving and they pop so fast, I was like "oh sh*t my air bags went off" and kept driving until I could pull off the track. It messes up the headliner, both seat belts, both side air bags, and the SDM. Cost me $1400 in parts vs. dealer wanting $4K to fix it. I opened a case with GM and they pulled the computer data. Rather interesting to see the lateral force data I pulled before and after they popped. I attribute this mishap to the new tire/wheel setup I had just installed. I was able to shave off 5 seconds from my previous best lap times. Similar setup as the 1LE now has.Originally posted by HumanWiki View PostDamn that sux.... Bet that gave you a good scare. Was there any other damage?
GM basically said sorry you modified your car, your problem. Oh well, I'm making sure this doesn't happen again on the track.sigpic
