Never one of those. That's where I draw the line. If there's enough snow on the car to warrant a brush, then that's some serious mass on there that's very sharp. If I really need to get the snow off the car, I'd use warm water to melt it away or just leave it be and let body heat take care or it in the garage.

Never ever put warm water on your car with snow or ice on it . Better to leave it running for awhile and get it warm that way.

Touchless washes are bad for your car as well. They use a very high alkalie soap to get the dirt off, therefore stripping your wax. Also, it does not remove everything because the dirt needs to be agitated to be removed. So if you dry your car after a touchless you are rubbing that dirt into the paint.
There are other quick and proper ways to clean your car.
This kind of stuff makes me cringe.

Yah, don't dry with towel, air dry. The double wash cycle at Speedway washes actually gets the dirt off, so long as it's not caked on

First off if you have any damage to the windshield, like a small chip , it will crack it.

Then you let it air dry and you get water spots - it's an endless cycle - just do like me, use a hard wire brush to get the dirt off, and use a 800 grit sandpaper to dry it. It'll look good as new.

Or just do what the person does that I saw Saturday... Never wash it! :-(

Could be worse... I say a Black RS in a parking lot Saturday that looked like it hadn't been washed in 6 months! The wheels look like they hadn't been cleaned since the car was new. It was soooooooooo saaaaaaaaaaad! As toasty commented, "Guess I forget how differently we treat our cars".

my bad a little mad that its an RS and not an SS lol jk but i do wish i had a v8
