Car shows get old after a while, this was the most fun I've ever had in a car related event.

I'm thinking that only a couple of us would race but it would be cool if we could hold our own mini meet and show as well. Just an idea.

Just trying to draw some attention to the event. we had a nice turn out when we had our show and go event. Just trying to make it more spectator friendly for the show guys here. So yes I was serious.

No offense but I don't think this event needs any help to draw up attention and I doubt there will be enough room to set up a Chevrolet show room display in the parking lot.

Why so rude. It was just a comment and question related to an event that offers spots for spectators. I was tossing an idea for those from here that wanted to go. Calm down now.

And I don't think having a designated spectator spot for any particular club or group is a bad thing- I doubt anybody is suggesting a true "show" with trophies and the like.

Lol you would. Some of these 5th gens better make a showing on the runway, not just in the parking lot. Lots of fast cars here, that wont have to worry about all the 1/4 mile bullshit that you go through at GLD or byron. This event is going to favor the more mild street cars, not the racecars. My stock 11GS out ran a ZR1 to the half mile because it was fighting traction the whole way. And when he finally hooked up and caught me literally feet from the half, he hit his rev limiter in 4th and I was still in the lead to the finish....trapping 145 indicated.

So get those cars ready. Jcobras car hung dead nuts with mine all the way from a 20 roll to the half. It was mind blowing how neither car pulled an inch on the other through the whole run.

Can we give the show crowd bashing a break please? I know you're not being completely serious, but we've been down this road before, and nobody likes where it leads. We all like to have fun here, for sure, but I think we all know that not everybody can read the intent and spirit of some of what gets said when this stuff comes up.

That being said, I would suspect that if a group of people show up together, they may end up parking in roughly the same area. (spectating) so if a group wants to hang out, thats about how it would hapen.
