+1. Recaros, ceramic discs, diff and trans coolers, and everything beefed up to handle the HP. I'm guessing Z28 base is more than the ZL1 base mostly due to the 3x cost brake rotors and Recaros.Originally posted by DarkSS View PostMy guess is that it will cost every bit as much as a ZL1 and that will be the only thing keeping me in the Vette.
It really needed its own unique hood. That move was a fail. But who knows by the time they release the car things can change. Pete, here's your chance.Originally posted by HumanWiki View PostI really like the car -- minus that fugly rear end and Jegs looking heat extractor on the hood.
I agree with Ladiesman about the rankings. Z28 firmly establishes itself as true competition for the Boss (despite cost). As Ford argued the 1LE is not a purpose built car, so it was not a comparison to the Boss. Clearly we have a winner here. But price will give the Ford guys something to use as an argument as to why the Boss isn't the boss anymore.sigpic

No but the Boss is more of their track car for the Mustang line. The boss is very comparable to a Z/28 in the options and just what they offer. Its also a horsepower step ladder in the line GT has 420 similar to the SS. The boss has around 450 to the Z/28's 500. And finally the ZL1 has 580 to the Shelby's 660hp.Originally posted by TonyNo View PostDoes the Boss whoop the GT500 on the track?sigpic

I hope they don't ask more than a ZL1 for that. If they do I don't see why it woul be worth it. ZL's got a lot more toys and still more power.sigpic

It's not all about the raw power numbers. So much more technology in this car.... and less weight.Originally posted by Ladiesman217 View PostI hope they don't ask more than a ZL1 for that. If they do I don't see why it woul be worth it. ZL's got a lot more toys and still more power.
I don't mind the tail lights... certainly taking cues from the late second gen cars.
